Dear Marilyn,

My last smiley of the day goes to this image. It's the warm mood, the boy in front, his mother hard working, how beautiful. The longer i look at the boy the more intrigued i am about his eyes and his pose. Is it perfect? Yes the boy is, that's for sure. Is the picture perfect? No it isn't, but it's about the boy. Look at his arms how they are resting on the boat, the way he sits, it's all so beautiful. Like he is showing his mother the way.

I would not dare to touch this image, in not a 1000 years, but please you do it for me. Cut of a part on the botton, there were the boy his reflection ends in the water. That bottom part is totally not interesting. Maybe a also a very small part on top. Yes i know it looks more on a panoramic picture when you do that, but doing that you put even more accent on the boy....it's the boy dear Marilyn....the boy..!!!

It is a lovely compo, the woman and his boy are perfect shown in their day-life. Wonderful pov and light. I didn't like so much of the colors and I think a version in b&W could be interesting here too. The face of the boy is amazing, he is far away

I like this shot. The focus and POV is good. My only suggestion would be to have included more on the top of the shot and less at the bottom.

I have to laugh at the boy's face. He doesn't want to be there is what it is telling me :D It is an excellent daily life image, well composed with the space in front of the boat. (maybe a small crop from the bottom?) Although the light seems fairly strong you have handled it well and there are some wonderful reflections in the water.

When I look at a work of graphic art —whether a painting or a photograph — the most important ingredient for me is the composition, then the colors, and then the technical properties, including resolution. And of course, there is the social an photojournalistic context. This image has it all. There is the mother and child plying the waters of the lake in a dugout, the child perched on the bow. The colors and definition in the image are first rate, as is the composition.
