| The city of Inwa (entrance to the lake) was founded in 1364 by King Thadominbya. Very little of its past glory remains - one substantially restored gate - and this structure known as the "Leaning Tower of Inwa". Some 27 metres high, the lookout was damaged in the 1838 earthquake. Thereafter, the ground beneath it started sinking. |
