What's more impressing in Nepal, is that you can find in very short distance from Kathmandu, the country's capital, some beautiful traditinal villages that seem to come out of a time machine. One of them is Bugmati, where this photo was taken. The other thing that impressed me a lot is that all the agricultural works are done by women (as you can see in the background), while at the same time men are playing cards, discussing with friends or simply meditating, like the man in the picture,.

Hi Hercules,
I like the vivid colors in this picture. The man seemed very composed and relaxed as you took his photo. =) I only noticed that a pole was protruding at the back of his head. Maybe you could have moved a little bit to avoid it. But overall I like the contrast and clarity of it. TFS!

Kalispera Hercules.
En los países que llamamos occidentales el hombre tiene una esperanza de vida mayor no debido a las cuestiones biológicas: el trabajo que hace supone un mayor desgaste para el organismo y tradicionalmente ha sido patriomonio de los hombres cierto tipo de "vicios" relacionados con el ocio que repercuten a la larga sobre la salud.
Por contra, son muchos los países subdesarrollados en los que son las mujeres las que se encargan del trabajo duro (luego, la esperanza de vida se gira y es más corta para ellas).

Cuántas contradicciones.

Me gusta la composición y la naturalidad del momento. El hombre, centrado y mirando a la cámara, transmite una sensación curiosa que nos convierte en un espectador más. Y de fondo el templo y la gente (las mujeres) trabajando.
Buenos colores también.
