[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
On my last day, I put away all my lenses except for my 12-24 wide angle Sigma. I had to use it. I had always been dependent on my 70-200.

We went to Tamil (a shopping area) and while the rest of the tour members were shopping, I was busy practicing my panning shots. I must say this one stood out from my many shots that day. Maybe it's because of the colors and the "busy-ness" of it.

And for more panning shots in Nepal, here's the LINK .

Comments will be appreciated.)

Hi Manuel,
This is a really good panning picture. My last post was also a panning, and I wrote that I find panning a really fun thing to do, even if it is not easy (please, don't take that last remark like a "push" to go see my last post, it isn't!). The person on the bike is so clear, it's amazing how you achieve that. Especially since he is not right in front of you. I take my hat off to you for that very excellent panning. Nice also that you have people around and so vibrant colors. Well, I think I have to practice more! :D

Its a tremendous pic.Everything is blurred except the rikshaw puller.Good contrast and colour balance with good sharpness make the pic great.

Yes, this panning came out really fine, Manny. Vivid action rendered from the blurred market context (of which there is just enough retained to establish the setting) and good detail on the moving bike. Also a nice result as the subject was moving diagonally away from you rather than parallel to the camera.

Manuel this is nice to see you in the street
with a wild angle ;o)
your pics here have a lot energy
nice blur effect

Hi Manuel,
Absolutely a colourful picture, nice experiment with the blur and this small focus image of the driver, nice composition.
Best regards,

Hi Manny
You couldn't have packed any more movement into this shot, as it's all already there! I like the way you have managed to keep the focus on the central figure without losing the sense that he has some speed. Nice capture.

Sarah

An absolutely lovely bicycle pan, my favourite subject ;-)
The blur and movement centers perfectly on the rickshaw rider and makes the foundation of a very dynamic photo.
The red colours on the bike and the two spot on the left add the last bit of spice to make the photo really wonderful.

Not a picture which we saw from you usually, must be an wide angle lens. Very good composition putting the rickshaw in the central and the gradual blur effect through out the picture.

Excellent panning, Manny, you caught the rickshaw driver with the light on him, and the pedestrians are placed so they don't interfere with him or the rickshaw. Just the right amount of blur, too. Perhaps you could have cropped 10 percent off the right side, but it's a really great shot all around. Regards, Ken.

Great stuff, Manuel and proof positive that you are much more than a close portraitist! Personally I have always seen you as a "colorist", and that is certainly the case here...Beautiful corridor of blur through which the lone biker can dash, clear and sharp.
A masterpiece, for sure.
Cheers,
Francis

Hi Manny
Cool panning effect. The action is raw and live, man. The color are so vibrant.
Cool action shot.

Going through your pictures. This caught my eyes first. Nice movement, speed ...
Regarding your profile (... I'll never be a professional), you don't have to be, when you don't wish to get paid for your pics. It's enough that you are talented amateur photo guy who knows what to do and how to make a great shot that doesn't need any comment.
