The charpi, roof of bamboo matting. Known in wetern circles as the loo, smallest room, powder room or just toilet.

Didn't use the facilities here, but some where below par even for me - I won't go into details.

I wonder if it's a good luck charm above the door.

Taken with a wee Olympus film compact & scanned in.
