Very beautiful photo. I love the way you captured the tender light of this scene. This must be in the blood of Dutch people :) The way you played with the shadows is absolutely fabulous. Nice composition and good selection of shutter speed to capture the action. Congratulations.

Prachtig beeld, Henk. Echt prachtig. Het donker geeft echt een goeie atmosfeer en ik moet Joel bijtreden; het heeft wel iets van Rembrandt. Het kader is niet ideaal, maar voor de rest is alles perfect.

Wow Henk, This is such a truly sublime work; it looks like a great painting of one of the Masters, so it can only be photographed by a master. Great use of really nice light, Henk. It feels very timeless, like it could be from any era--looks like a Flemish painting of a peasant woman (except for the plastic sandals...) My only slight suggestion would be to use a plainer, textureless frame. Regards, Ken.

It's amazing to have such fine details in a handheld for 1/10 sec! How did you manage? Excellent picture with very dramatic plays of light and shade, just like the dramatic life of Tibetan Refugees. Best shot.

It sure is a great image - from 1996 - that's amazing - just as amazing as that light coming in. Not much but enough to have a view of a lot of nice details.
