een mooi moment met een goede interactie om haar glimlach terwijl ze deze zware last moet dragen, wat zou deze maatschappij inderdaad zijn zonder vrouwen hé.
Mooi doortekende kleur rood met een goede DOF om het landschap vaag mee te geven.

Ja 60 kg is een behoorlijk gewicht om op te tillen effetjes ... en dat dagelijks valt niet mee, maar ze ziet er niet treurig uit en lacht idd nog lief naar je.
Mooi shot, ik zou het gras en het hooi nog ietsje hebben aangedikt qua kleur, maar dat is mijn stijltje de laatste tijd ;)

The expression you caught on the hard working womans face is truely lovely. I am not surprised that she didn't stop, she looks very timid.

Great 'environmental portrait' that really shows a person in her environment. The upwad glance of the eyes to meet your lens is great. The crop is great letting her load fill up the frame.

Hallo Henk,

U had een klein beetje geluk dat de jonge vrouw wou stoppen om deze mooie foto van haar te maken, en ook geen makkelijke foto om te nemen door de last die de schaduw veroorzaakt, maar ik vind hem zeker bijzonder goed geslaagd.
Waar is onze jeugd om dergelijke zaken te verwezelijken zoals deze vrouw, men zou het dwangarbeid noemen!
PS; Ik nog even naar uw Moskee gekeken!

Seems really heavy, Henk! Amazing face of the woman, and its dark colour fits very well with the red of her clothes, really a finding here! Compositionally very good too, a tight crop with a tilt. Nice one!

It is amazing the miles these herd-working people walk with heavy loads on their heads. They also are very sure footed with flip-flops on their feet usually. You captured a lovely smile on her face with the upward glance necessary from the posture she was forced to hold. The vivid red of her outfit contrasts beautifully with everything in the frame.
Good job you didn't fall over backwards.

Zal ik U eens wat zeggen? U maakt gewoon prachtige foto's allemaal!
Verbazingwekkend dat deze vrouw nog zo lief naar je lachtte want die baal is loodzwaar en meestal stiefelen ze hard door want dan zijn ze er sneller van verlost.
Kan je nagaan hoe charmant je bent :-)

This is an excellent portrait because as you mention the Nepalese usually don't pausse for the picture (which I can understand given the load they're carrying) so you really need to react quickly!
You've managed to frame the girl and here load perfectly and she even gave you a smile. Just great!

Hi Henk,
A colorful and well framed semi portrait with appropriate shallow DoF, I like the flashy red colors that look a bit weird for such a work, but well other country other customs. What's the white dot on her nose, scan scratch or something else ?

Hmm, I can`t believe that what is she carrying has 60 kg of weight. Nevertheless it is for sure hard work and the reason that women get wrecks very quickly... Great capture with a smile despite of the load on her back. I like the colours and depth of field.

This is an excellent capture. I like the way her red outfit contrasts with the hay and grasses she's carrying. The detail and technicals are great and the framing works very well too. The slightly off center composition is superb. A very good National Geographic piece. Well done.

lol, i was looking at your picture, reading the note, looking at the picture again and imagining you backpedaling down the mountain. with that vision in my mind, i almost want to suggest another title 'HAY ATTACK' :)) anyway, how do you always manage to find these models dressed just in the right colors for a punchy foto? haystack... middle of the fields... woods... streets... anywhere... excellent eye! :)
