Happy Boy

| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
I just realised that I haven't posted any people pictures in a while; it's all been landscapes and buildings lately. I've also been posting recent photographs at the expense of my older work. I generally like to keep a balance between posting my older and more recent stuff.
I thought I'd rectify both omissions with this shot that I took ten years ago in Nepal's Kali Gandaki valley. It's just a simple portrait of this cheerful little chap who came over to say hello (and ask for sweets) as I passed through his village. Luckily for his dental health I wasn't carrying any sweets, but he hid his disappointment well.
Strange to think that he must almost be in his twenties by now. |

Hi Ben,
A cute photo, its a pity that there is so much shadow over his eyes. Otherwise a nice happy portrait.
Regards
Wanda
Make sure your camera does not freeze up if it gets too cold on your trip.

Hi Ben,
wonderful portrait of this boy. I like his shy behaviour (or at least I think it is...) while asking for the sweets... it's wonderful!
Have a nice day,
Tomi
PS: one question: did you carried also other lenses with you beside the 50mm?

Hi Ben
yes, it`s quite interesting the balance in your album, you touched a fair few of items.
This picture itself, reflects something which gives the sensation of happiness, of simplicity, because the child, smiles just because of you, you were taking a picture of him, and that makes him smile.
Great for those things.
Have a nice day ;-) ( Great pictures those you have posted lately)
