[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Very close to one of the three major squares of the beautiful town of Bhaktapur (Declared World Heritage site by UNESCO), the Dattatraya square, you 'll find a big cistern and all around that cistern you'll see freshly painted woolen fibres, that later in the hands of very talented Tibetan handicraftsmen will become the famous Nepali carpets.

This is the neighbourhood of the Tibetan refugees. Besides the workshops of carpets, you can also visit the workshops where the Tibetan artists create their unique wooden sculptures. But the absolute "must" are the workshops of the traditional religious Bhuddhist paintings, called Thangka. Probably the best souvenir you can have from Bhaktapur, the town where some of the scenes from Bernardo Bertolucci's film. "The little Bhuddha" were shot.

Hola Hercules.

Nice composition, Hercules, with that foreground bright yellow cord really capturing attention. The perspective is excellent, although the DOF seems to fall away a little on the furthest building. However, the colour and light in this very wide angle shot make up for that. Interesting notes, too!
Regards,
Andrew

Hola Hercules,

Hi hercules. Bhaktapur is a place i love and i was very happy to see a few pictures of it recently on TE. Yours is quite different with the colours coming from the painted fibres all around the citern. I did not see this particular place. Thanks for the discovery.

Γει'α σου Hercules!

Hola Hercules,
Josep

Hello Hercules
Very very interesting photograph of Bhaktapur taken from a lovely POV. The woolen fibres are of course the centre of attention because it defines the place. Nice depth and wide perspective to show the surroundings..lots of details captured. I can also see a woven fabric drying nest to the reservoir
Regards
Angshu

Hi Hercules
