| Pilgims, porters and travelers of all sorts, add a rock to the piles, for the Gods to insure a safe journey. I had never seen a face painted on them before or since. The flat sign, instead of the usual sanskit writing with prayers, is a sign for the next village. Porters have left their baskets on the conveinent ledge, so they can eat and rest, before continuing their journies, carrying goods through the Himilayas. |
