What is Nepal, without it's Tata trucks? New, old, in-between, they are the work horse of Nepal. They ply the two main highways, east-west, and north-south, and everywhere they can fit. They travel from India to Nepal with gasoline, cooking oil, fabric, food, and everything possible. I have seen water buffaloes in them. I have ridden in them between landslides to get from one bus to another. I have been crammed in the front or tossed around the back. There is no limit to what you can fit on one, especially at harvest time. You can top of the load with people sitting on top. This one looks pretty empty.

Hi Gloria,

I like the way you present the truck. I like it. Nice little drawings made by the owner. Things like his name, the names of his children, some signs of the family or village sometimes. A pity is that the colours are a bit soft. I would have liked to see them a bit more heavily saturated. But still a nice view you give us here.

Greetings, Dennis

gloria - it was good that you photographed this - i always return from a trip thinking that I didnt capture the colorful and wild vehicles seen throughout the road of asia. Very well taken!
Cheers,
Dave

Reminds me of the jeepneys in the Phils. I like the low perspective here, I do kind of wish there was more detail showing on the left of the truck. Nice shot Gloria.
