Where there is water, big or small, clean or dirty, there are women washing clothes. The lake is misty, a few droplets of water have already hit me as the sky begins to darken for a storm. Nepalis are happy to be clean. Tap water, if you have access, is maybe 2-3 times a week for a few hours at most, you save all you can. Springs, rivers, lakes, even puddles often will do to wash in.

Hello, Gloria--
This is a nice picture, very moody and intense... but there is one point in which i struggle with it. It can't seem to make up its mind if it is a landscape or photojournalism, and it doesn't excel in trying to be both at once. i think that either way that you go with it, though, you want to be closer to the water and the action. A broad perspective is OK if you're using it to establish context for a series or an essay, but even still it would want to be closer to the activity... the blank space at the top and at the left doesn't do a lot for me, and i think you would retain the mood even if you had been closer or zoomed in.

Very good atmosphere of this great lake,the birds is a very good bonus Gloria.

This is lovely shot. I loved two things about this picture. First the wide unending expanse of water and second human face in the front with lots of colors.
