Very nice. A case where horizontal lines work in a vertical format. You caught the light well on the prayer wheels, and the background is just present enough to fill in without distracting.

Excellent shot, I really like it. I like the framing you selected, it has good sharpness and colours.
Just for my taste I would have selected a bit shallower DOF. Juts my opinion

Very nice in vertical frame. The diagonal compo., your DOF works very well. I like the light falling on the prayer wheels illuminating the raised or carved letters. An interesting alternate POV would have been to move further right to make full use of DOF blurring the furthest prayer wheels. Good work!

ces monlins ont du être tounnés des millions de fois, j'aime bien la lumiere ponctuelle qui fait ressortir la patine sur les caractères, par contre les soudures sont pas terribles !!!!!

Bonjour Vincent,
I usually see the praying wheels in horizontal compositions. This vertical close-up is interesting. But I'm not sure about the contribution of the metalwork at the bottom. Perhaps horizontal is really the way to go here after all, along with f/8 for greater depth. Still, a good capture. Regards,

I like the close up view of the prayer wheels and the tight framing you chose. The light catches the parts worn by many hands very well. I know the wheels have to be turned in a particular direction but forget which way. Are you able to remind me?

Very clever title for this excellent shot! The framing and the composition is great and so is the light managment! In cases like this (I mean dark objects) the cameras have the "bad habit" to overexpose but you came out a winner! Congratulations!

j'aime beaucoup la perspective donnée par la répétition de ces moulins à prières!Ceux-ci sont d'ailleurs très beaux!J'aime le fond gris et flou qui les fait bien ressortir.C'est vrai que c'est une idée bien singulière d'avoir mis des prières dans des moulins,le religion décuple parfois (même toujours)l'imagination des hommes!

Un beau pov, très convenable pour le sujet. La focal longue va très bien ici, pour la perspective et pour le dof serré. Netteté, couleurs et lumière splendides! Note bien écrite et très intéressante. Je ne savais pas que ces moulins (comme vous, les Français les appelez) grandes avaient aussi des papiers avec des prières dedans.
Bien qu'ils son immeubles, sa vision me fait rappeler le bourdonnement unique son mouvement produit.

Une image classique de Swayambunath mais très belle. Je dis ça car j'ai bien sûr eu la même idée là-bas...
Lumière et profondeur de champs très bien maitrisés, mais j'aurais choisi un cadrage horizontal, mais c'est mon avis personnel.

Le titre m'a fait sourire. C'est très sympa, ce gros plan sur ces moulins.
Moi, ce qui m'étonne, c'est pourquoi la wheel/roue est devenue moulin en français. Et en plus, moulin, cela me semble plus poétique.

This is an iconic image of Tibetan Buddhism, Vince and it makes a strong image and pattern. I like the limited colors. The rich copper tones give it a sense of cohesion. regards kevin

technologie, j'adore le titre ! Joli cagrage serre avec la bonne ouverture pour faire ressortir ces moulins a prieres, j'aime bien comment les inscriptions luisent sous la lumiere. Vu ton message, felicitations je me sens moins seul maintenant, mais pas eu encore beaucoup le temps d'experimenter, ce qui est sur c'est que depuis le 350D ca fait un sacre changemment !
