Hello,
Thanks for this sunny view of the Gokyo lake. When I was there 3 years ago in autumn, we were in the clouds and we did not really see clearly this place.
yves.
Hello Giannino,
your love about mountains is obvious! What magnificent prospect of mountains! The polarizing filter did a very good as well as the light management. I like very much the small not frozen part of the lake. The colour there is amazing!
Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful image.
Best wishes,
Athanasios.

Hi Jean
Thank you this spring view of Gokyo lake, a nice reminder for me !
If you enable the workshop capability for the picture, I may add the same view taken some 5 months earlier.
However, it is not the third lake, but the second lake (where Gokyo village lies) and in the background, it is not Cholo or Kangchung Peaks, you may even recognize Renjo pass, whereas the montain to the right (with summit cut) is Gokyo Ri !!!
(By the way your comment to swe_cc on Ama Dablam is also wrong, since I have checked that it is Ama Dablam !)
Regards
Georges

ciao!
Valeria

Ciao Giannino
First of all, welcome to TE!
A good POV on the mountains which are standing out well against the sky and lake. You had a good weather, allowing to see clearly the details.
Cheers

Ciao Giannino,
Excellent quality and colors. The light was very good, covering the whole landscape. The composition is nice, but a little less sky and maybe a lower POV would improve evem more, creating more deph. Thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Flavia
Hi again Giannino
I love seeing photos of destinations such as this. I have been to Nepal twice - 30years apart and I would love to return. The trekker gives us some idea of the scale of this scene. I feel that a lower POV where there is less sky and more rocks would have improved the image. Thanks for sharing, Marlene

So lucky to go so far! I love nepal but I am 61, and my knees just do not travel so well. I envy your treks!!!!!!1 I have gone twice on very short ones, in 1996, and 2000. Beautiful picture!
