Rikita is the new up coming generation of Nepali girl. Her grandmother never went to school, has worked all her life, planting rice, corn and other crops. Rikita is raised in Kathmandu. Inheritance is now also for females, not just male members of a family. The Maoist Communists have just gained control of Nepal, this year in 2008, so the future is even more blurred. It will be different for sure.

This is really beautiful- with a watchful grandmother in the background. the tones are really good and her eyes..... that's what sold me this photo. the windows of the soul.

These are tow powerful portraits, Gloria. Both faces seem so full of feeling. The girl looks so vulnerable. The colors, amber, rosey pink and green are so enchanting too. Altogether a great shot. regards kevin
