[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
A short series of pictures taken in the Nepalese town of Bhaktapur on an early spring holiday to India and Nepal in 2004.

Nyataponla Temple in Taumadhi Square dates back to 1702 AD. The colossal five-storied edifice is the country’s tallest pagoda temple. The struts, doors, windows and tympanums—each embellished with attractively carved divine figures—perfectly portray the creative tradition of Newar craftsmen. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Siddhi Laxmi, the manifestation of female force and creativity.

The above information is taken from Wikitravel.

Apologies for cropping the top of the temple, but this was the best I could do with the lens I had at the time and I knew nothing about the dark art of stitching panoramas.

Hello Stephen,

Thank you to show us this beautiful temple with so particular architecture.
Your note is interesting.
Good Sunday.
Regards
Marc

Hi Stephen

I had lunch on the 3rd floor, of the 1st building, to the right of the temple, with the yellow green railing, so this shot brings back pleasant memories for me. Wonderful colour, sharpness & lighting / colour contrasts. Tfs!

Bonjour Stephen,

Bon dimanche.
Amicalement
Gildas

Hi Stephen,
Very different architecture and a very fine picture. I like the colours here. Now that we know you are an expert on vertical stiches, it would really have been interesting to see the complete building :)
Greetings from Gothenburg
Gunnar

This is a much different temple than any I've ever seen. I also find the other buildings around to be very interesting. The pov and colors are very good. TFS and have a good day!

cricri

nice picture indeeded with a nice clear surround view. The picture would have been best with full five story view as the 'Nytapole' means five storied.

Hi Stephen,
Beautiful unique architecture that is seen in all its brilliant details against the vivid blue sky.
The red sandstone temple with such a beautiful staircase is truely a beautiful site.
Regards, Tom

When I was in Nepal I had always the same problem. The streets and places are so narrow that it was sometimes impossible to catch the temples in total. here you had excellent light and colours in the picture. Well done.
Best wishes,
Achim

Hi Stephen,
Splendid shot for this beautiful temple with attractive details. The POV is spectacular and the colours are very nice the lights too. Well done! Have a nice week
