[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
While walking in the backalleys of magnificent Dunbar square (World Heritage Site), in Patan, the "twin" or "siamese" city of Kathmandu, on the streets where the handicraftmen have their workshops, I found this beautiful boy, sitting right behind a statue of Buddha, looking at a state of nirvana.

PS. When I saw this photo in my computer screen, I notices a small "ancient" Greek statue on the lower right corner. What's it doing there?

That greek one is there maybe because the owner of that place loves art :)
Well seen and somehow funny captured this juxtaposition ..boy and statue :)

Hi dear Hercules, my friend
Wonderfull capture! Very good pov and amazing compo with perfect light control and nice details.
Yes, what does the greek statue to do there ? I think the statuette of an ancient athlete . I don't know if Alexander the Great travelled that far , but who knows ?
TFS and best regards

This is really a sweet capture of this cute little guy posed beside the statue. A very natural expression. I like the lighting and detail very much. TFS and have a happy day!

Hola Hercules

Lo primero que me ha salido al ver la imagen, es una risa…la verdad es que el niño es gracioso.
Además de la risa…la fotografía me parece muy buena, el hecho de compartir butaca dos personajes tan dispares…es realmente entretenido.

Me gusta

saludos

Hi Hercules, a good composition, very strong contrast! And looking farther to the right, I see a more added contrast with a miniature statue of David!!! ... Very interesting shot!!! TFS, Alex

Hello Hercules,

What great observation to notice this role-model Buddha! The details of both images are excellent. Do you think a tongue-protruding Buddha might be found somewhere?

(Perhaps the statue was gathered as a memento at some time in the past when people thought it was okay to move them from their correct situ.)

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

A marvellous shot of this little fellow. Nice catch light in his eyes.
Phil

Hi Hercules,
nice capture from Nepal. I like composition, especially good combination of a little boy and statue of Buddha... Splendid colours and sharpness.
Best regards,
Andrzej

hi hercules
I couldn't missed this one, the attitude of the child is well seen , but the cherry onthe cake is the small antic greek statue, as you say in your note.
well observed.
