Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage sites, Swoyambhunath Stupa is one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist Chaityas. It is believed to be 2000 years old.
It is situated on a hill at 77m above the level of the Kathmandu valley and after a good excercise of stepping up, the reward will be an excellent view of Kathmandu valley.
Very popular angle of Swoyambhu Stupa with lots of Chaityas in foreground and Harati Mata Temple. The weather was cloudy, it would have been better if it was blue with some clouds. Couldn't do anything about the flying pigeon in the middle of the frame though. I hope you will like it overall. |
