Hi Didier,
The whole image breaths a kind of mood what makes it very special to look at. The smoke that is all around, the dark toning combined with brighter parts and last but not least the man who stands there it all fits perfectly to the note in how these people live there. I've been in such a camp in Kathmandu, not the best place to live in, very basic, just as in your picture....good documentary shot.

J'aime beaucoup ces images d'intérieur sans flash comme celle-ci. Cela rend parfaitement l'ambiance de la pièce. Malgré la faible lumière, tu as de très beaux détails partout. Même dans les parties les plus sombres.

Hi Didier,
There is no need to say how i like this light inside. Totally excluded from the outer world, the inner side resembles some unearthy room for ghosts. The right part (outside) is therefore so important for this "unearthiness" effect. Great work!

j'aime beaucoup l'atmosphere,je viendrais bien y manger du riz et autres spécialités,car je trouve que c'est toujours dans ces endroits que l'on mange le mieux!Tu as bien réussi à rendre cette atmosphère enfumée,et la lumière entrant par les ouvertures grillagées est suffisante pour avoir assez de clarté pour éviter l'utilisation du flash et ainsi garder les couleurs naturelles!C'est comme si on y était,j'aime beaucoup!

I love this daily life image from the far away land. Looks like this is community kitchen where you can cook for a lot of people, judging from the size of the pot. Excellent detials even in this indoor low light situation. I like how you can see the bluish tone of the smoke. Excellent composition as well.

Cher Didier,
à la fois du photojournalisme, qui nous montre des moments rares, des moments forts et durs et une très belle photo d'ambiance si j'ose m'exprimer ainsi. La lumière est superbe, les tonalités bleuâtres aussi. La composition nous montre à la fois l'intérieur et un peu aussi de ce qui l'entoure à l'éxtérieur, ce que j'apprécie. Sa pose dénote une certaine timidité, je trouve, il ne savait probablement pas comment se positionner, et cela ajoute à l'impact. Du tout bon travail !

J'aime bien l'ambiance qui se dégage de cette cuisine tibétaine avec ses grosses marmites et ses feux de bois d'où s'échappent les fumées. on voit que le cuistot sans y paraitre surveille attentivement la cuisson du riz.

Une photo empreinte de vérité, un témoignage visuel qui ne ment pas. L'aspect rudimentaire des lieux laisse soungeur.

Powerful this photo showing so well the harsh conditions those persons live in, but still they have the ability to share with each other the few they have, even if it's a simple dish filled with rice.
The environment filled with smoke gives even more power to the photo and this man's attitude towards you makes it look very natural like if you were not there.
I like a lot what you've been showing us from your trip to Nepal, there are very important lessons to be learnt there and this is the best compliment I can give you as photography should always have something to learn from.

Splendid effect of smokes are making your frame an attractive one since its thumbnail with excellent usage of lights on kitchen. Aluminum pots, wood fired ground stoves are adding great value with messy surround and pose of cook master. I like also natural borders with cage and concrete bricks that increase the perspective of your photo. Congratulations.
