This typically garish Pakistani bus went past me as I walked towards the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.

The mosque, funded by Saudia Arabia in 1986, covers 5000 square metres and has room for 300,000 worshippers. Set at one end of the city, it is overlooked by the Magalla Hills. Its unconventional design was contraversial but seems to have been accepted after completion.

Very good image here - I love the bus, pedestrians, and moped going at their different speeds toward that white mosque ... late for prayers, I guess. Well done.

Hello Steve,

May is a very hot month in Islamabad. The composition is first rate with a lot of elements leading to the mosque. My wife took a similar shot (sort of) while hanging out of the car window, but not nearly as good as this one. Slide is simply a class of its own.

Very well taken.

Regards
Kamran

Hello Steve, An oldie but a goodie, interesting composition. I like the natural colour & that blurred colourful bus is a good addition. A contrast to the the stark white Mosque.
Well done
Santo
