[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
On the way to Afghan border through Khyber pass. Here's a Pashto village with typical fortress-like houses. some can be very large with pretty high walls. real fortresses !

Feuds are common there, so people need tough home to protect themselves. I have not witnessed any violence there, but a friend of mine who did the trip (it's typical "tourist" visit), found herself with her guide and guard on a road with both sides full of young pashto with kalashnikovs in hand and shouting angrily at each others. was quite an eerie situation and they quickly left the definitely-too-hot place.

Khyber Pass must be such a vast and remote place. The landscape is so different to what most people would be used to. Interesting housing and the mountain adds depth to the picture.
