Salut Pierre,

patrick.
Hi Pierre,
I'm slightly missing the link between the destruction of a culture and the introduction of Islam. I see what you're telling, but it's too thin for me.
Various cultures introduced non-native religions with little destruction to their heritage. Yes, it impacted their old beliefs, but I've seen instances in which a culture adapted a new religion into their own. And in other instances I've seen cultures disappear without any influence of religion.
What are their native beliefs and how are they impacted by the introduction of Islam? How does Islam impact other parts of life, ie. social life, village structures, small scale economics, healthcare and education? The like between the introduction of Islam and the destruction of the entire culture is one that surely exists, but I don't feel you've proven it here with your note...
Nice picture though! A slight pity if the stick in front of his face, but the gaze of the right girl and the colours are very pleasant!
Greetings!
Dennis

Hi Pierre,
beautiful image and kind of sad to know about their future. The image is well balanced in its colors, contrast and the placement of the children in the frame. Very nice capture. Well done!
Regards,
Carlos

It's a charming picture, Pierre with nice soft color and good sharpness. It is also a good presentation of an endanger culture. I regret that the institutional, monotheistic religions are set on the destruction of everything in their path. Here, wealthy, ignorant Western missionaries throw money at the poor, in order to persuade them to leave a higher religion and adopt their primitive, bible belt fundamentalism. I was in Chaing Rai a few weeks ago. In one Buddhist tribal valley, there were Mormons, Baptists and Adventists fighting to destroy the richness and purity of the people’s faith. Using nothing but their money and their fanaticism. They were each offering higher prices to convert to their cults. In one case offering bicycles to any child who would adopt their faith. This kind of thing is not religion, it is cultural imperialism. I regret that the monotheistic religions have been responsible for much of the world intolerance, suffering and death. There will be much more blood spilt and much more suffering before the world is free of their bigotry.

bonjour Pierre

TFS,
Amitiés,
Cath.
