“I've learned that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.”

Late afternoon moment in Duikar at Eagle's nest viewpoint.
A good place to rest and try to add a pair of wings at your heart admiring these wonderful mountains...

The background mountain is the Spantik (mt. 7027) that is part of the mountain chain which forms the boundary between Hunza and Baltistan in the Karakoram Himalaya.

hello Luca,
a nice landscape, the three peaks under a good light are nice, the foreground silhouettes giving a great depth to the composition.

Hi Luca, Do people pose for photos at this spot? I have seen this scene before http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo685427.htm. Nice photo anyhow. Regards Paul.

Ciao Luca. Lucky people to be perched on a rocky peak ad miring such a view.Great effect with the silhouette, especially when the distance is bursting with colour and various nuances of light. Qui le parole non sonno necessarie. Klaudio.

Hi Luca,

Excellent landscape capture with great spectrum of color tones while adding dark silhouettes of visitors and spectacular sky. A gorgeous photo congratulations.

Hello Luca,
great shot, nice silhoueetes and good composition, fantastic sharpness and depth of field, very nice colors and contrast, nice textures and good light.
Angela

You have an amazing sense of composition. Hats off to you.

Hi Luca,

I was reading your personal introduction for the first time and what you're saying is so truly universal... That's exactly how I feel about travel and I really like the way you've resumed it. It seems that wherever we come from, discovering new countries have the same effect for everyone; we never come back the same...

This is a very beautiful image Luca, shot from a place we rarely see... This is only the fifth photo from Duikar on TE. Gorgeous landscape and good visual concept with the people in silhouette. The light is fabulous and the composition is carefully made.

Ciao!

André

Hello Luca. The landscape photo is worth seeing, because....... the picture element in the foreground stands out like a silhouette against the background, - and because the persons give lives there to the picture. Composition, light and organization of the photo are outstanding. It is beautiful and worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Luca

Ciao Stefano

Hi Lucas, a little gem once again, you are such a good photographer, each of your composition is a delight, a pleasure to watch, to rewatch ... This one is a perfect exemple of how to get emotion and express feelings with a "classical landscape picture" even if of course those mountains are unclassical and majestic.
Love the inclusion in foreground of those human shapes.
Impressive

what can I say, Luca, this is a great photo. I like a lot the sense of depth and distance here, and the uplifting feeling the strong triangular shapes of the mountains create. leaving foreground and people only as a silhouettes contrasts nicely with the clear light of the rest of the scene and easily focuses viewer's attention on it. superb details too.
excellent work, my compliments.
best,
Kristine

Hi Luca!
I love this view and I can imagine your feelings there close to the roof of the world.
We Germans call the Himalaya the roof of the world;Das Dach der Welt.
A great shot, well composed with these nice silhouettes and I like the different colors of the mountans.
Regards,Leo

Hello Luca,

Wonderful point of view with those dark silouettes to the lower left! Very beautiful. Pakistan has some wonderful rough nature. I wouldn't mind going there one day!

Greetings,
Dennis

Hi, Luca. A wonderful place. The silhouettes in the foreground give us the impression we are also watching the scene. The view is really breathtaking and I can understand people go there to enjoy it. I also like the clouds in the sky and the good contrasts in the picture.
Have a nice weekend,
Philippe

Ciao Luca
In photography it is the light and atmosphere that counts the most. This opened out as a beauty, not a simple mountain shot bathed in natural beautiful light. The composition with the darkened figures add a welcome human element, & works superbly since they're silhouetted. Beyond them, the layers of barren mountain slopes and beyond that the ice capped peak, this is truly magical!...bahut bahut accha.
With Regards
Angshu

Breathtaking light and scenery Luca, I hope to see it one day, but next year I will definitely try algeria again.

I don´t think Paul realised that Lucie´s photo was taken at the same time.
