Photographer’s Note

In the Philippines the "blood compact"(Pacto de Sangre) was a ritual when tribes seal a friendship. Miguel Lopez de Legazpi (spanish) and Bohol chief Datu Sikatuna did that also in the 16th century. THey cut thier wrist and pour some blood into a bowl with liquid. Then they drunk eachothers blood to seal their friendship. Here you see the place where it happend. Magellan and Humabon did that also more then 50 years earlier on Cebu. On the left side where some people sitting. I removed them with Photo paint.
