View from a Chololate hill Photo

Photographer’s Note

The Chocolate hills on Bohol are often shown here at TE. The surrounding rice fields however are not.
I took this photo in the late afternoon from the viewing platform on one of the Chocolate hills. This spot is ca 300m from my standing point.

Agriculture around the Chocolate hills is small scaled and mostly for private use only. What is left will be sold at the local markets. Next to rice fields there are also some small coconut plantations. These five palm trees did not seem to be part of any platation.

Hi Harko,

This pointillism landscape have something in common with Seurrat... :-P)

Look almost like an illustration, with a camaieu of warm muted tones and 5 palms trees perfectly placed in a very agreable composition.

Good light brings nice shadows,
Nice shadows brings a lot of dimension,
Dimension makes your shot lively and captivating.

Hello Harko,

Nice graphic view thanks to the high point of view.
I like this composition with the trees in foreground and their shadows quite included inside this fields landscape.
A part of the pleasure to look this photo is also coming from the colors.

Wonderful graphism and colors here; landscape looks quite unreal - despite the fact that it's quite real.
As about why some photos are richly critigued and some are not critiqued at all, despite equal quality - here comes that fact that some regions in the world are more interesting to the public, and some less. I think it's because of that, actually.
