Photographer’s Note

These are modern hand-fans being sold along Quiapo pedestrians. They used to be made of pure bamboo wood, now they have plastic skeletons and decorated with hand-painted chinese motifs.

This presentation is inspired by the colorful fruit photographs of fellow TE-member Benedict

Picture of friendly merchant is in Workshop, she was very proud to have permitted me to photograph the fans and asked if I take a photo of her, too, as usual insisted by her co-merchants.

Bonjour Alex,
beaucoup de graphisme au niveau de la répétition de ce motif très élégant et détaillé. Un formar vertical qui colle bien avec la disposition des éventails.
