a sequel to Karen Arnold's posting of Hard at Work in the rural Philippines....(thanks Karen).

the herons i believe are there following this farmer because they are after the earthworms, tadpoles and other insects for food.

Very nice, but such modern machinery! I'm sure this makes the job a little easier. It still looks to be very hard work! Oh I do miss those trees. TFS and have a great day!

Yo Ben,
Great rural scene with lush greens, high tech na nam diay inyong farmer hehehe. TFS

Hi Ben,

thank you for taking your time for posting. You know last weekend I worked from 8:00am on friday to 8:30 on Saturday without stoping. Man, I'm complete tired! Well, it's a very nice shot. The man working hard on this green field has an important context, not only for me but for you too, I guess. But in this world, half the people work, half the people take advantage of the other half. That's it! :))
Um abraço,
Carlos

very intersting rural scene you have posted here bro...not only is the farmer vital in providing food for a heavily dependent population but he is also vital in sustaining natures food chain by digging out worms, insects and the like to the convenience of the herons...

overall nice composition and made me miss 'pinas again.

Hi Ben,
So you have modern machinery in your farm ... you've put the carabaoes out of work :) Interesting mentioned about the herons ... indeed they are opportunistic clever birds. Wonderful daily life scene in the province. Well captured and presented. Well done! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Hi BENEDICT,
I like your photo because it shows this man
working hard and his compnay is only birds...
Original version this photo, thanks for sharing
and seeing such photos because many people work hard and many people not...
HARD LIFE indeed
Regards
Costantino

I do miss this type of scene Hijo. I haven't been to this part of Zamboanga. I have seen beautiful sunsets of Dipolog and Pagadian from Filipino photo sites. Seeing those always make me wanna visit.

I have forgotten that you are a Canonista. Good colors and very sharp. Salamat sa pagdadasal mo. 'Ingat....

Nice shot, i love it!

Cool shot! R those coconut trees?

Hi Benedict,
this is a really well composed rural shot.
Is this farmer's face covered with some sort of a gauze?
Robi

Hello Benedict. This is just neat. Sharp image with excellent perspective. The cattle egrets adds the harmony in this composition. Well done and best regards. Jusni

Hi Benedict,
A nice bucolic scene, very well captured. If you had staged it, I'd congratulate you for the choice of red to the clothes of the man and of the tractor, as it does a pretty contrast with the green that fills the whole frame.
The only thing less great is the sharpness, but I guess that it has much related to the TE limit, which renders very difficult to tune the sharpness when there is so much vegetation.
Regards, José.

Hi Benedict,
A very interesting slice of life, I always think of cranes in relation to fishing rather than farming. The hand tractor is a far cry fromn the big air-conditioned behemouths we see here in the US.
