Photographer's Note
:-) This is not a Russian Orthodox church, not an old Russian estate, not even the Moscow Kremlin... and, definitely, not quite the Antoine Watteau style!, but ... what attracted me about this scene was the colours.
So perhaps this image may be interesting for those who like colours because you won't find any special idea/subject in this photo.
It's just... a simple photo of a simple, quite an ordinary town scenery. There is a small river (full of petrol but, nevertheless, inhabited with ducks) behind the bushes.
The area has been under construction for quite some time already. God only knows when they will finish the construction! But life goes on :)
It's quite near this area .

Hello Elena, Nothing special you say, but an interesting & very well presented scene. The colours are superb, good clarity & sharpness. The interest for me is created by the triangle of the older looking couple well protected from the cold, the structure that could be a chimney stack, the young lady with her baby & dog. I was also interest in your comment about the river filled with petrol & the construction that will go on & on & on.
Thanks
Regards
Santo

Hi Elena,
This also a very good example of what TE is all about; showing pictures of daily life all over the world. Sometimes I wish you could include the map references from GoogleEarth. That would make it even more interesting to see the surroundings and to imagine this particular part of the world. But still a very pleasant photo!

Hello Elena,
I think this is the essence of this picture: Life goes on. Apart from the river full of petrol, this could also have been any Stockholm suburb, or anywhere else I guess, people living ordinary lives, a couple of pensioneers on their daily walk, a mother hurrying home from work with her child and dog, nobody giving a thought about the wonderful light or the soft colours of the vegetation and the clouds. For TE viewers it's a frozen moment that we can enjoy now and come back to.
Thanks for sharing,
Gert

Draga tovariš Elena,
compliments for your courage to post one non commercial picture, the corner of Moscow where the tourists never come, it seems. I like to see such motifs on TE. These are corners where i will never come personally. After all, you show the path with a life of every day. The photo is also quite correcte and I am so glad to see it. So glad to mett you again,
Branko

dear Elena,
yes the artistic feeling is not only in the special view but also in the common view of ordinary life.
the problem is not in the objects but in the way our minds feel, and how we cature it by our feeling.
your title "the delights of life" is, therefor, actually in your mind space,,,
like normal cloud, like common building and chimney, like ordinary people, like general bush, like usual light and colors, but all are in one place and at one time, just unique.
anyway, walking people in this dramatic situation seem expressing their presence in the universe to me, in this your shot.
thank you,
Akihisa

Elena
The vegetation, bushes and trees have a natural pure beauty. It is an oxygen lung necessary to the people and every kind of animals. The constructions spread only due to the money power, executive people. Sometimes these builders inhabitate away in good villas. The chimney means pollution, ( nice tower )!... Warm regards. Tomi

Zdravo draga Elena. One sees the delightful everywhere on a good day, when the heart is light and a song echoes in one's brain. And why not/ Today I see the delights of life in your photo, in the woman pushing her pram, the faithful dog accompanying, in the two friends walking close to each other, swapping confidences, rugged up against the chill in the air, in all the various trees and bushes and their subtle colours, in the generous sky...Zhiznj, eto udyvityelnyaya vyeshch.Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Elena
The colours may be warm but I am sure the scene is actually very cold. Everyone is busy going about their daily lives and I wonder who had to give way to who on the narrow path? The clouds look threatening. A simple scene but there is still much to see. TFS, Marlene

Hi Elena. I like this one precisely because it is not a photo of the Eiffel Tower or the Pyramids or Big Ben. It shows us something we might not otherwise see from everyday life in another part of the world and for that reason I find it interesting. Chris
