Lipetsk - city where Peter's 1 name meets the little less often, than in St-Petersburg. It is interesting, that these two cities have been founded by the first Russian emperors, in one 1703. In the beginning of the eighteenth century Peter 1 has enjoined to build the Lipetsk metal works, given a life to city. Except for it Peter 1 has opened the mineral waters which have allowed Lipetsk to become not only industrial, but also resort city.

On a photo a monument to Peter the Great. It is established in Lipetsk in honour of the 300 anniversary of the Russian fleet in October, 1996.

On the right: sacred Peter and Paul's chapel. It is constructed in 1885. During Soviet time it has been destroyed, and in 2002 it is restored again.
