Photographer’s Note

Looking down onto snow-covered mountains makes you feel very small and insignificant. Uncertain of the state but cabin staff called this part of Russia Siberia. Between Beijing and Munich. Most of the journey was cloudy but the clouds broke for a few minutes from time to time.

Hi Murray

I spent a couple of days in Khaborovsk, which is in the Russian Far East 'oblast', or province, of Amur, not east Siberia.

Buriatia, Chita, & Irkutsk provinces all fit the bill.

Hello Murray,

Looking at snowed mountains from the air is different that being right there in the middle of the white stuff. The image is very nice and the perspective is definitely excellent. Beautiful view Murray.

High! Well, Amur is a Far East, Furthermost East of Russia, so to say, so it can't be Western Russia at all. :)
I think, if it was a first 4 hours of flight over the Russia, it was Western Siberia, but there are no such mountains there, so I suppose it's a Eastern Siberia, but to get there you're needed several hours of flight.
And, about the photo - it's great.

Hi Murray,

The reflection of the light on the snow bring out the blue color tint on the mountain covered with snow. The different shape of the snow banks and of the mountains are assets to the composition. the subject is well framed. Have a nice day.
