As we all know very well, Lars and Rob like reflections in glass windows. In the whole of Petersburg, it is the only one that I noticed. I hope that they would like my joke.
St. Petersburg's Hermitage has one of the world's finest collections of French artist Matisse's (1869-1954) art. But the impressionist's paintings are in the separate building and I had not enough time to visit it. But I have seen a big collection from Petersburg when I was in Paris, so I was not so much interested.

Saint Petersburg is Russia's second-largest city after Moscow, with 5 million inhabitants in 2012, part of the Saint Petersburg agglomeration with a population of 6.2 million (2015). Although such a big city, I haven't seen any skyscrapers. The Lakhta Center is an 87-story skyscraper, 462 metres
is built in the outskirts.
And I found it great. :).

L'on dirait que les architectes s'amusent à jouer avec les grandes baies vitrées pour créer des reflets étonnants. Ici, la déformation n'a pas lieu, et c'est beaucoup mieux ainsi.
Une composition originale et bien dressée.

Hello Malgo,
Surprisingly that there aren't skyscrapers in such a large city. I think there are in Moscow (but the Russian capital is even much larger).
The colours of the reflections in the window are well rendered and they show also nice contrasts.
So only one window showing a reflection in Saint Petersburg. At least only one you've seen. The building style must be completely different from the modern style in western cities.

Thank you for the beautiful reflection from Saint Petersburg. Funny that you placed it just before I put my photo of the bison next to your photo.
Of course we have not seen such reflections in Yellowstone Park, but many reflections from the American and Canadian cities that we visited this year will indeed follow.

This photo makes me a little bit proud of myself. ;-) My immediate reaction when I saw the reflections was "Wow, that looks like Matisse"! Maybe obvious, but I was still nicely surprised to read the note. Nice buildings too.
So you will finally go to Indonesia. I know a place or two you should avoid... ;-) But is this the "three new countries" journey, and in that case which will be the other countries? There is a choice of four: Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and East Timor. Combining Indonesia with Philippines would be too crazy.
Did you consider the climate factor?

Hi Malgo,
It has become a sort of dancing on the street composition. The reflection of the sun lit buildings dominates the scene without being to much.

How fortunate that there was such a big window, in the absence of skyscrapers, to offer this fine reflection.
The colours are glorious and there are few internal details to compete with the splendid reflections.

Ladne odbicia w okiennej fasadzie tego budynku. To bardzo ciekawe miasto i przechadzki jego ulicami sa niezwykle ciekawe, a jak sie oglada zdjecia z wyjazdu to ponownie chce sie tam wrocic :)

of TE like this subject......
here the reflections have been
perfectly executed informing us
that the impressionist s paintings
are in the separate building...

A fantastic composition, with these wonderful reflections on those large windows, ideal the reflected building and those figures on the right side.
Colorful, sharpness and luminosity are captured effectively.

Hello Malgo, the reflections are so colourful and sharp, giving us a good impression of the reflected buildings without seeing them for real.
The dancing figure inside is in sharp contrast with the straight lines of the architecture, with its lovely rounded lines.
Excellent observation.

creio que a cidade tenha atrações suficientes para encher vários dias de um turista e mesmo assim ainda não será possível ver tudo o que ela oferece. uma linda amostra da arquitetura local com esses reflexos.

Malgorzata, nice reflection captured in the fashion house glass. It creates a slight distortion. Beautiful yellow building with columns.
