Photographer’s Note

This is the old scanned photo from 2001 or 2002. I shot it on the scrap metal area. On the top of the iron mount you see the old soviet car GAZ M20 Pobeda (Victory). Our polish friends know it as Warszawa autocar.
I think, the workers of scrap metal have some humorouse.

Hahaha, that's a good one, the GAZ M20 on top of all the scape, the car certainly was not much more worth then the scape seen below. However cars have been build by many nations which would not had been road worthy in Western Europe. But these cars were drivable. Nice scan and good color reproduction with high sharpness. Well done

The typical colours of a scan get a value of their own to recreate a time that has passed. This may be a scrapyard, but it is also a piece of modern art, wuite attractive in a strange way.

lol, getting on top of this huge pile is victory indeed :) for those who know the "context" of the car this photo is loaded with meaning, "victory at any cost!", and the upward-looking point of view you have chosen works very well to emphasise that. fascinating shot, although I'm not 100% sure about the frame and the large writing. personal preference though :)

Funny shot, what a pile of junks, I hope this is recycling center or somthing. Not bad for a scanned image. I like the stylize saturation, make it look even older and stylist.

äà, õîðîøåå ôîòî. õîðîøî è ãðóñòíî îäíîâðåìåííî.
ïîìíèòñÿ ìíå, ó Âåðåùàãèíà åñòü òàêàÿ êàðòèíà, íàçûâàåòñÿ "Àïîôåîç âîéíû". Âàøå ôîòî äàæå î÷åíü ïîõîæå... îñîáåííî ïî öâåòîâîé ãàììå. Äàæå ïî êîìïîçèöèè ÷åì-òî ñõîæè.
Òàêàÿ âîò ó ìåíÿ àññîöèàöèÿ... :-)
