Trans-Siberian Railway Photo

Photographer’s Note

Arkhara (Russian: Архара) Railway Station, 1,209km from Vladivostok. The local people were selling some meals to the passengers as the train arrived at the station early in the morning.

The Trans-Siberian Railway is connecting Moscow and European Russia with Vladivostok and Russian Far East provinces and through eight time zones and 9,289km.

The shot was taken with a Samsung Kenox 35mm film camera. This picture is a Fuji color negative film (ISO 100) scan using an Epson 4990 scanner.

Hello Eungbong,

A very difficult picture through the backlight, this create very long shadows and a little bit misty atmosphere, make the picture very well.
Composition and perspective are very very well.
Perhaps one advice, the date in the photograph is not suitable for TE.

I did this train trip in July 2007, stopping in Komsomolsk Na Amure, & Khabarovsk. It was certainly warmer then, than here! The snow adds graphism. A superb daily life scene from Far Eastern Russia in winter. Kamsahamnida!
