Sergei Posad ( Also known as Zagorsk during the days of communism ) is about one or two hours north of Moscow, by train. It is famous with it's big cathedral with it's blue onion shaped domes, and it's monastery, and it was on my agenda last year, when I visited Moscow. There are a lot of details than may attract the eye of a photographer, typical russian architecture and a lot of people visiting the place. Pictures are not permitted inside the cathedral and lesser churches, so the subjecs are mostly concentrated around the big courtyard and parc. This picture shows a secluded place which is not permitted to ordinary visitors, and there were many women getting in and out. The name
" Gates of Heaven " was inspired by the drawing depicting an angel.

Dear Master,

This is a particular shot in restricted area but result is admirable. I like both of doors and lady’s position while one is moving. Details, walls, angles are wonderful. Congratulations,

Beautifully subdued light and color, the series of nearly concentric arches frame the middle of the photo, the oblique light on the white back-wall evokes a wistful mood as we see these slender young women, evidently pious but not yet dedicated to piety, go about their own business.

Bonjour Izzet. Ta photo ressemble à un conte ou peut être es-tu tombé par hasard sur une scène qui n'existe que dans les livres. ou l'imaginaire. Une métaphore du portail qui nous attend, quelque part dans les hauteurs, et où le tri sera sévère. J'aime le point de vue et la profondeur qui en découle.

I like the framing of these two doors, and the composition with walking ladies. The light in background amplifies the thought on heaven!

Merhaba İzzet Bey,
Uyumları birbirine denk getirme konusundaki çabanız bende en büyük merak unsuru.... Bayanların kıyafeti ile kapıların renklerinin aynı olması, diğer tüm fotoğraflarınızı da incelediğimizde "şans" unsuruna yer bırakmayacak bir bir çalışma olduğu gerçeğini vurgulamakta... Biliyorum !.. Bu yeteneğe sahip olmak için en azından fırıncılar derneği başkanı olmam lazım ki tüm fırınların ekmeğini yedikten sonra konuşayım :)) Sayenizde bu sitede olmakla birlikte kısa sürede çok şey öğrendiğimi zannederken her fotoğrafınız bana ayrı bir sürpriz yapıp yeni ufukların açılmasını sağlamakta...
