Moscow Metro

|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
| Komsomolsaya Metro station just one of the 171 stations on the metro and probably one of the best decorated. The first tunnels were dug in 1931 with the first line opened in 1935. Today the system handles more than 9 million passangers per day. The ISO was set at 1600asa to produce a shutter speed of 1/45 |

Hi, Colin! I know that it very difficult to take pictures in moscow metro - it's dark and too many people there. So this shot is rather good. TFS...
Natalia
Hello Colin,
I agree with Natalia I tried to make some photos on this station myself but it's just too many people pouring down the stairs, up the stairs and from the trains so I had to move all the way to the back and in the and I didn't like the shots.
I think you captured the station very nicely and probably at the very last moment before the crowd comming of the train on the left, seized the station;-) So you might have been in a hurry to take this picture because if I'm not mistaken the picture is slightly tilted to the right. Also the metro sign in the middle of the picture is a bit disturbing but otherwise a great photo.
Regards, Marko
A great Daily life shot with strong perspective. The whote balance seems to have been well chosen as the colours are realistic and the quality is superb for a handheld shot. Furthermore, I don't notice any noise for such a high ISO. Nice work Colin.
Best wishes
Mark

Very good picture of the Moscow Metro, the most beautiful in the world, I think. I visited it in spring 1975, and did not have a good camera that time. Glad to see the Metro again, and that it still looks like during the Soviet time.
What a beautiful building. It looks more like amuseum or church than a metro, and such a contrast to the modern structures I am used to see in my city. A good capture of this daily moment with good use of light. Thanks for sharing Colin :-)
Roberto
