Saint Petersburg is a city and a federal subject located in the Northwestern Federal District of Russia on the Neva River at the east end of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea. St. Petersburg's informal name, Piter is based on how Peter the Great was called by foreigners. The city's other names were Petrograd and Leningrad.

St. Petersburg enjoys the image of being the most Western European styled city of Russia.

Among cities of the world with over one million people, Saint Petersburg is the northernmost. The Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Russia's political and cultural center for 200 years, the city is impressive.

In the background, the Church of the Resurrection shows in all its magnificence.

Amai, Nathalie,

je hebt al die mooie foto's van de laatste dagen meer dan een jaar verborgen gehouden voor ons... Ik heb een vraagje : bij dergelijke foto's met gebouwen op, heb ik veelal dat de linkse kant naar rechts overhelt, en de rechtse kant naar links (soort "bol"effect). Ik weet dat er een trukje bestaat om dit recht te trekken, maar ken de naam niet... Ik gebruik "Photofiltre"... Kan jij me helpen ? Of raad geven ? Bedankt op voorhand, hé.

Your composition is fine using the bridges to lead the eye into the shot. The low angle lighting provides nice warm coloring throughout the shot. The deep blue sky with the line of clouds provides a nice backdrop for the photo.

prachtig Natalia.
Ik zag dat een van jullie twee zeer goed Nederlands schreef, dus probeer ik het in het Nederlands. Dit is een foto vanuit een goede hoek genomen om het perspectief goed uit te laten komen. Het formaat vind ik ook bijzonder fraai. het licht is goed, kortom een prachtige foto, mijn complimenten hiervoor.
