The picture was made during a visit to a foster home in Tver region. Kids are having their afternoon snack after the nap time.
People say the conditions in orphanages outside Moscow region leave much to be desired. I ask myself whether there exists an ideal foster home that could possibly replace family for a child. The home in Staritsa might not be a paragon, but the atmosphere there is healthy, kids are friends with each other, and are always eager to help. The only sad thing about it all is that they can not chose parents.

Hello Anastasia,
Lovely photo, so clear and fine features. The colours are great, I like your note, and your time spent in giving us the information.
It is sad that they do not have parents to go home to.
It looks as if they are cared for, I hope so.
I visited orphanage in Lithania 14 years ago, they were not so well looked after, Hopefully this has changed.
