Trick Fountain (1973)
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
Children are playing in one of the trick fountains of Peterhof in 1973.
Peterhof is an ensemble of palaces and gardens 29kms from St Petersburg (Leningrad in 1973) which was founded in 1714 by Peter the Great as his Summer Palace. Within the enormous lower gardens of Peterhof are 150 fountains and 4 cascades. There are 3 trick fountains which will always be popular with children - this one is called the Settee Fountain and the seat from which it takes its name can be seen in the background. |

Hello Marlene,
I like these kids playing in the fountain :)) A lot of dynamism and sunshine! Great timing!
I've been there several times (I mean Peterhof), and I know this fountain. You never know when the guy who operates it will turn it on and you will become wet :) It's always unexpected.
Those were much happier times... when people were kinder, happier, more sincere.
best regards,
Elena
