Photographer's Note

Taken during my trip to the singapore botanical gardens. That day, i decided to practice an advice to me by someone to get closer to my subjects. Maximizing aperture and getting as close as the autofocus can handle, I discovered later i liked the effect given by the blurred background making it look like an eye. hope you like it. =)

Another lesson I learned about my camera that day was that in basic/auto mode, i can change the focus between the foreground and background by pressing the shutter button halfway again and again. Previously I was forced to specify the AF point in manual mode to get the same effect.
