Dans le metro de Singapour,
je suis dans un salon.
Tout est propre et bien en ordre.
Je suis entoure d'une foret de metal.
La lumiere des neons perce une moderne canopee.
Un homme lit.
Il n'y a pas de bruit.
Le metro semble irreel

In the subway of Singapore,
I am in a living room.

Bonjour, Bertrand. Une propreté chirurgicale, un métro ultra-moderne et pourtant, cet homme a l'air bien seul. Les tons froids conviennent bien à cette photo qui me semble montrer le côté impersonnel des grandes villes. Un cadrage original avec ce point de vue très bas et la perspective créée par les barres qui parcourent toute la rame. J'aurais peut-être aimé voir un peu plus le visage du passager.

J'aime beaucoup cette photo car elle reflète à mon avis parfaitement un monde aseptisé, presque déshumanisé et le fait qu'il n'y ait que peu de passagers renforce encore ce sentiment. La perspective est aussi parfaite.

Le métro est fabriqué seulement avec des matériels modernes. Une prise de vue inusitée. Très bonne perspective et belles couleurs et lumière.

Quel POV !
Une très très bonne utilisation de la contre plongé et du grand angle (tu es à quelle focale avec ton powershot ?).
La netteté est sans faille, et la perspective créée par les poteaux métalliques est très agréable, je trouve.
J'aurai peut-être coupé l'extincteur à gauche, pour voir.

Une composition très orginale et une réalisation technique parfaite.
Quelle impression de solitude, peut-etre parce que l'attitude de cette personne ne cadre pas avec ce milieu aseptisé (trop aseptisé!)

The angle you've is very exquisite and this moment of solitude is captured superbly. I can see the typical cleanliness of Singapor here with the clear floor and I also find this very surreal, just like you've mentioned. Good, artistic documentary!

Hi Bertrand,
SO are you actually lying on the floor of the MRT or resting the camera and clicking the shutter with your big toe.
It makes for a very dynamic shot...the emptiness is great as well...I've never seen these trains so empty except for very late at night som times...I almost never even get to sit down.

Bonjour Bertrand,
un metro qui nous change un peu des transports en commun bondés. Je suis aussi fasciné par la propreté de l'intérieur, pas de graffiis, pas de 'crasses', des pays qui nous donnent des fois des leçons de savoir vivre.
Paradoxal de prendre le metro pour se retrouver au calme.
La photo est superbe sur le plan technique, des lumières intérieures et artificielles souvent difficiles, faussant les balances de blancs.

Il est certain, Bertrand, que nous sommes loin du métro parisien (tenue générale, modernisme...).
J'imagine les usagers du métropolitain se prendre à rêver de voir une voiture aussi bien équipée, et surtout sans bousculade !!!

Hello Bretrand,

Il est vrai que ta prise de vue fait très "film de science-fiction".
Le décor est trop propre pour être vrai ! Ce cadrage au ras du sol souligne encore cet aspect de propreté et donne une étrange impression d'oppression ! Comme si tout le décor allait nous manger !

Indeed it seems like not only an unreal world, but a highly sanitized one...I like this view of the lone traveller, deep in thought. There is great graphism and the low angle POV was well chosen. You handled the exposure level well, avoiding glare from the white lights. Very fine work.

Hello Bertrand,
what a 'déjà vu' sensation I got when I oppened this photo as this sub is very similar to the one in Porto (refering to the inside look).
I like a lot the low POV here, with the view of this lonely man standing there seeming to be thinking on his life.
The pillars line creates a nice effect and great depth and the lights lines too.
A very nice photo!

This is Singapore. Clean beyond sanity. And I bet if you wanted the floor would have been clean anough to lay down on. Nevertheless, it doesnt matter if you did or not, what matters is this novel POV. And the fantatsic geometry in this metal world. Im not 100% convinced about the presence of the fire extinguished on the left side, I wish there was clean wal there instead. Its the only part of the photo that distracts me from what you intended to show.

Bertrand, cette photo me fais penser à comment ça doit être difficile la solitude dans une grande ville. Seul malgré la foule...Pour moi, la clé ici, c'est que tu lui garde son anonymat en plaçant ses yeux directement derrière la barre. J'aime bien aussi la série de lumière que l'on ne verrait pas si ce n'était de ton point de vue.
Je me demande, comment tu shoot dans un métro comme ça? Je veux dire, tu n'utilise pas le flash? Alors quoi, la lumière n'est pas si forte, tu dois utiliser un vitesse plus lente, mais alors, le bougé?

This is a great way to exhibit the spotless cleanliness of Singapore's public facilities, Bertrand. The low angle brings out the gleam in everything. And yet the lonely passenger is not made happy by his surroundings. A message about human nature, I guess. Well done. Regards, Ken.

Excellent composition, Bertrand.
I like the low angle of this shot and the perspective created by the vertical poles.
