Jikjisa Lake Photo

Photographer’s Note

I liked the skylight reflections, in this small ornamental lake, in front of Jikjisa Buddhist Temple. The temple, park & porcelain museum are easily reached from the nearby town of Gimcheon (12 km away), using local busses #11 or #111.

This is a nice shot of the pond and gardens. The lighting and colors are fine and the photo has nice sharpness and detail. The sky is nice and you have captured it beautifully.

Hi Chris,

The mirror effect on the water of the lake is an asset to the composition. The point of view takes our eyes toward the forest in the background which is giving depth to the scenery. The quality of the light is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Chris,
I like the composition here with the small lake in the foreground seemingly pointing towards the forested background hills. Also, the layering effect of the three main tones - yellowy green, dark green, blue. Very good sharpness.

I like the composition the balance is good.
it does look like the very contemplative oasis in our busy lifestyles
the saturation does look a trifle overcooked..
Is this natural saturation or has it been tweaked?

Salut Chris,
encore un bien joli endroit aménagé avec beaucoup de goût mais aussi énomément de soin et d'attention. De belles lumières inondent l'avan-plan tandis que la forêt parait plus sombre, un contraste efficace.
Enfin, j'aime bien aussi le ciel.

This small lake, for sure is man made and the reflection of the sky on its waters creates a fine contrast with the surrounding green. Like the shades of green and the red of the benches, which seem to pop out of the screen. Well seen and taken shot!
