Photographer’s Note
Almost dead in the middle of The Old Market in Busan there is a small gate. Enter, and you find yourself in another world. Surrounded by very busy, full of shops and street stalls, crowded and noisy market there is an old temple. Meticulously clean, quiet oasis for a prayer, meditation or a short rest. The whole temple, as most of them in Far East, is of a simple (relatively ;-)) construction and painstakingly decorated.
Here you can see part of a roof construction. Hard to imagine how they have built it, but even harder must have been the chore of painting it all. Just look up and admire what you see.
In the WorkShop I will show a little more general view.

Hallo Chris!
Incredible! What an effort to built and to paint this! These patterns are most beautiful and imaginative. The ws photo gives a good impression in order to classify this part of the building. Quite different to half-timbered houses with slated roofs ... ;-)
Very interesting!
Greetings from unbearable hot and sticky Siegen!

This is stunningly beautiful. When we read your note and see the wider view we can only marvel at the painstaking artistry of producing such wonderful work. You made a good decision when your curiosity led you through the gate.
