Photographer’s Note
The artificial waterfall at the entrance to Jikjisa Buddhist Temple.
"Jikjisa is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It is located on the slopes of Hwangaksan in Daehang-myeon, Gimcheon, in the province of Gyeongsangbok-do. It may be one of the oldest temples in South Korea.
Jikjisa is relatively well-connected to train and bus service. Jikjisa Station is located at the foot of the mountain, along the Gyeongbu Line railroad. It is served only by the local commuter trains, which run twice daily in each direction.
Jikjisa is believed to have been first constructed by the Goguryeo monk Ado in the year 418, long before Buddhism gained general acceptance in Silla. Jikjisa was largely destroyed during the Seven Year War (with Japan) in the 1590s. The rebuilding lasted from 1610 to about 1670."

This is the park & artificial waterfall, at the entrance to the temple, a 10 minute walk away to the left. The lookout pagoda is just for decoration, & is not part of the temple complex.

Hi Chris,
The trees are framing well the waterfall. The capture of the power of the water is an asset to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the Jikisan waterfall. The nice blue sky is sending a light which is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Chris,
Lively true colors and razor sharpness to this beautiful little falls with a wonderful bit of Korean architecture in the background.
The sky and trees contrast nicely and gotta love the turquoise water in the foreground.
