As the growing season wanes the plants turn golden. Please check out the W/S for a wider view. There are machines that harvest these small fields; they are about the same size as the machines that plant the sprouts.

Aftr the harvest the rices is dried along side the road or on any level place that can be found. Thos pictures will follow as the harvet approaches this year.

Hi Greg,
Beautiful in its simplicity is this fine image of the most important staple in the world. Rich golden tones and wonderful textures to this crop that is complimented by the the muted blue sky background.

I really like this shot. It stood out in the thumbnails very prominently. Superb low angle shot (I hope that your back is ok, mine would be hurting after taking this). Your DOF was perfect with the area of focus emphasizing the grains of rice. Bravo and well done!

Hello Greg,

Nice shot, especially the composition which shows very well the rice but also the close environment. There is also a good color contrast with the deep blue sky, the yellow of the rice and the green of the grass.

I have to believe that you're certainly the rice expert at TE. I already saw so many interesting documetary and instructive shots about rice paddies from you here at TE and every single of this posts are very interesting. This one has more the artistic approach and I like very much the play with the DOF. The foreground and background are blurred and just the rice itself is sharp. Very good work and composition.

Hi Greg. Simply a superb shot of the corn field. Fantastic light and the shades and the shadows in the leafs as they get more and more unsharp in the background is very nice. Fine composition, and just right with the "blue corner". Well done. Greetings jens :-)
