Photographer’s Note

I took this photo on my recent trip to Sri Lanka about 2 months before the Tsunami Disaster. I love all the expressions on their faces. I was there just visiting this small school near the coast to explain a bit about where I came from and my country of Australia. Since the tsunami I have been thinking about these kids constantly- knowing that many of them have been totally devastated is heartbreaking....

Good idea here. I like the way you tightly composed this photo as to make it feel like there are an infinite amount of school children. Maybe to give more of this impression, you could crop the very top portion of the photo.

Thanks for the nice comment about my Vietnam photo. Your right, kids add another dimension to the whole travel experience. This is a great shot with nice composition. I like the happy looks on their faces. I know, the tsunami was very tragic.
