Photographer’s Note

Sigiriya is an archeological site in Central Sri Lanka. It contains the ruins of an ancient palace complex, built during the reign of King Kasyapa (477 – 495 AD). It is one of the seven World Heritage Sites in Sri Lanka.

Sigiriya may have been inhabited through prehistoric times. It was used as a rock-shelter mountain monastery from about the 5th century BC, with caves prepared and donated by devotees to the Buddhist Sangha. The garden and palace were built by Kashyapa. Following Kasyapa's death, it was again a monastery complex up to about the 14th century, after which it was abandoned.

Sorry Benjamin. No points! Are people mad. Great capture with the child looking up. That moment you know you have a good shot then preview the image to find you didn't get all of the person in frame, yet here it's all there.

Suis d'accord avec Mark: comment se fait-il qu'une telle photo ne reçoive pas plus de commentaires??? Elle est dynamique, colorée, avec un angle de vue plongeant qui fait que l'on se sent un peu comme possédant un regard d'oiseau.

Very good picture i must say.There're very less picture in TE which are somewhat different from other.

Your point of view is Excellent here.I liked the way Plane has halved the frame, with beautiful contrast of colors competing.Dense forest looks very very attractive.
