Photographer’s Note
We were at the fish market at Negombo. I hoped the bird would be on the picture, but i didn't expect it to be in the middle.

I don't know how you manage this light and overall atmosphere in many of your pictures, particularly evident in this one, but I love it. Is it the result of PP and if so, what techniques do you use?
Anyhow, to me this is two good pictures unfortunatly combined into one. The street market is one good subject. I thought a panorama format would suit it, see the WS.
The crows is a second good subject. Amazing the capture of the wings' movement. You can crope to innumerable frames to isolate them, placing them on the left, right, bottom, corner, middle, anywhere. But I was thinking, an somewhat more original crop would be one that would place the birds exactly in the middle and include only the heads of the people, or even the tops of the heads. I didn't upload that one to WS for now.
I hope I didn't get too carried away :). I just meant to say that the two subjects are great and beautifully captured, but to me there is no obvious connection between them to place them in the same picture. Seperated they are more interesting, in my opinion.
Cheers, Ioanna

Hey Jonte...
I don't know, I really like this shot. I don't see a disconnect between the crows and the people. Particularly attractive to me is how no face is revealed. The crow, the traditional character of sorrowfull tales and the mood completely follows this story in my head. The crispness is great and the forboding colors again add to the darkness of the shot. More people need to stop by and have a look...great.
