Silkroad travels: Pamir
It's downhill travelling from the Akbaital pass! But like everybody else travelling in the Pamir, we depended on sheperds for food (OK, OK, in the Pamir Marco Polo had twelve day's provisions with him). The Eastern part of Badakshon Pamir is the domain of Kyrgyz sheperds that use mobile yurts for their summer home. Some Soviet vintage military tents can also be seen. As the picture suggests, the sheperds live on little. We always paid for what they offered us, although they never asked us pay anything. We decided to camp out for the night however (see picture) because there were many people in the yurts.
I had to postprocess the picture in PS: the picture was straightened, the missing top of the mountain was added. The rest was as usual.

Impressing landscape and very good view and photo. I can see those huts are jurtas, at least they were called so in Uzbekistan.
There are lots to see in Central Asia, very interesting but rather unknown for us from the western countries. TFS!
