Silkroad travels: Pamir

Alichur kishlak (=village) borders to the Alichur river. The river water will eventually flow into Yashil kul (=lake) then into the Amu darya river and end up (in earlier times) in the Aral sea. I don't know whether there are any fish in this river at 3850 m altitude. You can try "Map: View" and study the incredible meandering of the river.

The picture reflects the peaceful atmosphere of the evening. People all go home before dark and rise at first dawn. The black dots at the horizon are free roaming Yak.

Hallo Dieter!
Was mich in dieser Landschaft immer wieder am meisten beeindruckt, sind diese unglaubliche Weite und Kargheit. Irgendwie wird der Mensch hier für mich auf sein "Normalmaß" zurechtgestutzt.
Hier wird schön deutlich, welche Lebensader dieser von Grün begleitete Fluss darstellt. Ein faszinierendes Foto!

Wie ich bereits schrieb: Das sind alles sehr beindruckende Landschaften. So auch diese hier. Eure Reise hat euch sicherlich riesigen Spaß bereitet.
