Photographer’s Note
Silkroad travels: Pamir
...and just when you are sure to be all alone in the Pamir, you encounter----other cyclists, like these two cracks from Switzerland (Sandra & Ives) who come out of the August snowflurry unimpressed.
Why is the Pamir so attractive to cyclists? To me it has to do with the great empty space, roads without traffic, dry wheather, but also the fact that mountain people live here---like in the Alps. We noticed that the majority of the 11 cyclists we met on our trip were also alpinists of some sort.

This is a nice composition with a nice landscape but the image seems to be a bit overexposed or a bit submerged in a cask of fogginess...
I have tried a workshop & hope it is liked by you or else never mind just carry on :)

Hallo Dieter,
diese leere Weite ist sehr beeindruckend. Es scheint dort ziemlich kalt zu sein. Den Bildaufbau finde ich äußerst gelungen.
Alles Gute für 2008, Gesundheit, schöne Reisen und Erfolg wünscht
